Andre Winner vs. Rafaello Oliveira Fight Prediction – UFC Fight Night 21

Fight Overview:  Recent Ultimate Fighter finalist Andre Winner looks to earn a second consecutive win and take a step toward the success his teammates Dan Hardy and Paul Daley have seen, but he has to make it through well-rounded Brazilian Rafaello Oliveira, who also has a top-level training camp and is also coming off a solid win.

Oliveira’s Strengths:  Oliveira is very well rounded, with good striking that can end fights, solid submissions, and solid wrestling.

Oliveira’s Weaknesses:  He hasn’t fought very good competition.  Even the equally inexperienced Winner has faced much better fighters.

Winner’s Strengths:  He has great striking, with a lot of power, and a really solid clinch game.  He is also capable of submitting opponents, although his striking is clearly his best weapon.

Winner’s Weaknesses:  He doesn’t deal with adversity very well, and let Ross Pearson take him off his game almost completely.

The Verdict:  Both are good fighters, but Winner’s standup is far more dangerous.  He has really put together a dangerous striking game lately, both with boxing and in the clinch, and I expect he’ll use it to put Oliveira away by T/KO.
